Batangas Eastern Colleges (BEC) successfully concluded its Summer Reading for Beginners Program 2026, providing young learners with a meaningful and engaging learning experience designed to develop early literacy skills, strengthen reading confidence, and cultivate a lifelong love for books. The program brought together aspiring young readers in an interactive environment where learning became both enjoyable and inspiring.
Created specifically for beginning readers, the Summer Reading for Beginners Program offered activities that encouraged children to discover the joy of reading through age-appropriate lessons, storytelling sessions, phonics exercises, vocabulary-building activities, and guided reading experiences. Every session was carefully planned to make learning enjoyable while helping participants develop the foundational skills essential for future academic success.
Throughout the program, the classrooms came alive with enthusiasm, imagination, and curiosity as children actively participated in reading activities that promoted creativity, communication, and self-confidence. Beyond recognizing letters and words, participants learned to appreciate stories, express their ideas, and become more confident readers in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.
The success of the program reflects Batangas Eastern Colleges’ commitment to providing quality educational opportunities that extend beyond the regular academic calendar. By offering enrichment programs such as the Summer Reading for Beginners Program, BEC, and the entirety of the Beacon faculty of the Pre-School Level continues to support young learners during their formative years while reinforcing the importance of literacy as the foundation of BEC learning.
