Being one of the ESC-participating schools accredited to offer ESC Grants as part of the Educational Service Contracting Program, Batangas Eastern Colleges can be the avenue for your incoming Grade 7 (Junior High School) student in pursuing their educational journey. And with the challenges as well as restrictions brought about by the current pandemic, there are many financial aid programs you can avail.
What is the Educational Service Contracting Program?
This is a partnership program by the Department of Education and administered by the PEAC, Private Education Assistance Committee intended to provide financial assistance to young learners of the Junior High School Level. Slot allocations are provided to ESC-participating schools (comprised of public schools and private educational institutions in the Philippines). In the form of ESC Grant, students can avail tuition subsidies in the form of ESC Grants. JHS Grantees will be provided with the same amount over the four-year term in the Junior High School Level (Grade 7 to Grade 10).
Who are eligible to apply?
The ESC Grant is offered to all Incoming Grade 7 students.
Whether you are coming in from a private school or a Transfer student from a public school, you are eligible to apply for the Educational Service Contracting Program. Upon enrolling here at Batangas Eastern Colleges, you may directly inquire at the Registrar’s Office. In case you are already enrolled but haven’t applied yet, you may still inquire and file your ESC Application.
Successful applicants (Incoming Grade 7 students) can avail Tuition subsidies commonly called as ESC Grants amounting to Php 9,000 for the entire school year. Grantees will receive the same amount until they reach the Grade 10 Level. Unfortunately, students from other Grade Level such as incoming Grade 8, incoming Grade 9 and incoming Grade 10 won’t be eligible for the ESC Grant. The said Government Assistance program must be availed starting from the Grade 7 level in order to cover the standard four-year term of assistance intended for ESC Grantees.
Qualifications and several conditions in regards to certain case of termination are monitored and administered by the Department of Education and (PEAC) Private Education Assistance Committee.
