As the pandemic continues to loom over the festivities and celebrations we usually look forward to throughout the year, Batangas Eastern Colleges is determined to keep the spirit of Halloween alive with alternatives to typical traditions such as the thrilling Trick-or-Treat!
For our little Beacons in the Preschool and Grade School Level, this holiday typically celebrated every 31st of October is indeed a much-anticipated festival! Believed to be rooted and inspired by an ancient Celtic festival, everyone excitedly paid homage to a wide selection of figures, characters, and almost anything that is aligned with the event’s theme: “Masks On, Sweet and Spooky Halloween”. And it is quite a spooktacular sight as every little Beacon creatively imitated their chosen characters through crafted costumes- whether store-bought or DIY-ed!
Although the traditional door-to-door trick-or-treating is far from happening just yet (due to the ongoing pandemic), the Faculty for Preschool & Grade School Level brewed and prepared additional Halloween-focused activities so that the children won’t miss out on the fun this Halloween season!
The virtual program started at 8:00 AM to 12 noon and featured a dance party, online contests and of course, a pageant where every student compete for various awards; and each costume are judged in order to find out which one best screams the eerie vibe of Halloween.
You may notice that this year’s Trick-or-Treat may look a little different, but you are in for a sweet treat as our Little Beacons get ready to give us a dose of fright and magic! So keep your cursor scrolling down and check out our Little Beacons (wearing their costumes) as they celebrate Halloween virtually, together with their families!
