“Welcome Home, Beacons!” became more than just a mere catchphrase, as it signifies the exciting promise of Batangas Eastern Colleges; a promise that goes beyond offering a pathway for quality education. It also encapsulated a promise of a “home” where students can immerse themselves in comfort, enjoy the unique BEC learning, and find opportunities that will cultivate their growth.
August 2023 marked the beginning of a new academic year and the institution kicked off the school year of 2023-2024 with a welcome event meticulously designed for each level and department. Students, faculty, and staff gathered on the campus grounds of Batangas Eastern Colleges where different activities await them before the official start of their classes. Both freshmen and returning students, ranging from K12 to the College and Technical-Vocational Center, were warmly welcomed by Bikoy (the official mascot of the institution). And evidently, the campus was abuzz with energy and enthusiasm, setting the stage for another school year filled with learning, growth, and camaraderie.

A Colorful Start for the K12 Department
With the theme focusing on ‘A Start of a Colorful You’ Festival: Celebrating Academic Beginnings and Beacons Reconnecting‘, the much-awaited opening of classes for the K12 Department began last August 7, 2023. The welcome event was designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for these students, ensuring that their first day of classes would be both memorable and encouraging.
Celebrating New Beginnings for the College and Technical-Vocational Center
While the younger students had their special day, the College and Technical-Vocational Center students didn’t have to wait long for their turn. On August 14, 2023, the campus once again buzzed with anticipation as the students of the Tertiary Level embarked on their new academic journey.
The welcome event featured a series of engaging activities that aimed to foster a sense of community among students and faculty members. Before their classes started for the day, students had the opportunity to connect with their peers and professors, setting a positive tone for the upcoming year.
